Jeff Byer is one of the most experienced web site producers in the business. In the beginning, Jeff was creating logos and letterhead for small companies that required budget design work. From there Jeff learned the basics of web site production, and by 1995 was creating web sites for small to medium corporations.
Jeff started his first interactive media company, Global Dog Digital Communication, in Studio City shortly after college. At Global Dog, Jeff designed web sites for retail marketers, shopping malls, Dental Health Plans, and created an online service for expectant families to share their birth experience with friends and family across the world. That service was called Hello My Baby and sold to an interactive health agency.
Jeff entered the corporate world by accepting a database administration project at ARAMARK Uniform Services. At ARAMARK, Jeff helped develop their first intranet to improve communication across the country. During Jeff’s tenure at ARAMRK he serviced such clients as Sears, Pepsi, Midas, Waste Management and Boston Markets.
Jeff moved from the corporate sector into entertainment at Sony Pictures. He started as a quality assurance manager for Columbia Tri-Star Interactive (CTI). From this position he moved into web site production working on television sites for Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Rock ‘N Roll Jeopardy!, Party of Five, Dawson’s Creek, Game Show Network and movie sites for Go!, Big Daddy, Godzilla and Men In Black. From CTI, Jeff moved to Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment (SPD) where he worked on a large variety of projects. He has made audio and video pieces for Spider-Man, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Snatch, Roxy, Sweet J Presents, and Screenblast.
While at Sony Pictures Jeff was one of the initial producers at Screenblast, an online creativity service. For Screenblast Jeff has made literally hundreds of promotional audio and video pieces, and traveled the world promoting two products that he produced; Screenblast Movie Studio and Screenblast Music Studio. These products are audio and video products that are on sale at most major retail locations. Not only did Jeff produce the software, he also aided in creating and designing the packaging. Jeff coordinated and shot most of the photos that appear on the boxes.
After the Screenblast software had made it to retail shelves, Jeff was given the opportunity to develop media for some of the world’s top corporations. He joined Dedicated Net Access (DNA) as Manager of Production and quickly took on the top clients in the company. Companies such as Anheuser-Busch, Nissan, McDonald’s, NASA, Warner Brothers, Sony, Boost Mobile, Schwarzkopf & Dep, and In Demand. The Anheuser-Busch engagement, like most large clients, brought many large projects within one major project. Jeff handled many of these projects for Anheuser-Busch companies such as SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove, Water Country USA, Adventure Island, and Sesame Place.
Now Jeff has taken his experience and dedication to apply it to a new, revolutionary agency for the large, medium and small companies as well as private customers alike. Dice Media is a one-stop agency for any type of advertising and marketing production. Dice Media specializes in graphic design, website design, e-commerce solutions, content management systems, and Branding. As partner and President of Dice Media, Jeff has helped build this unique agency and mold its unique design sensibilities. “All of this combined gives any client a full service experience. Nobody likes to go to 2 or 3 different vendors to get one job done, and with in-house design and production staff we can get the job done at higher quality, faster, and more efficient which lowers costs” says Jeff.
Jeff Byer and business partner Arny Pollack took their combined media experience and, in 2004, started Print Fellas LLC. Print Fellas in an online printing service focusing on full color business cards, postcards, fliers and more. As CEO, Jeff is focussed on the customer experience as he develops a new project management and e-commerce system. “This system has taken us years to refine and polish, but it will revolutionize the online printing industry. We will be the industry leaders in online printing once our system is fully implemented” says Jeff. Their full system is slated for a Spring 2008 debut.
Jeff Byer is the CEO and co-founder of Print Fellas LLC, and the co-owner and President at Dice Media LLC. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California. He is a certified Project Manager by Franklin-Covey, and has gained training certifications in Flash, Cold Fusion, Home Site, and Photoshop.
